Specializing in Microscopic Placement Welding

1. WHAT IS MICROSCOPIC PLACEMENT WELDING?

Microscopic Precision Welding is a "state of the art" process for welding extremely
small areas, with a minimal Heat Affective Zone. It is as different from conventional welding
as Foosball is to the game of Soccer, basically the same game, but performed entirely different.
Proficiently in one, does not necessarily apply to the other. The object is to perform a strategic
placement of the desired filler material to the needed area with a minimal of Sink, in the heat
affected zone, so that the filled area may be surfaced to the desired dimensions.

2. WHAT ARE SOME TYPICAL APPLICATIONS FOR MICROSCOPIC PLACEMENT WELDING?

  • Tool strikes
  • Cracked or chipped parts
  • Design changes
  • Usage ware
  • Aero space
  • Molds made of steel
  • Hard or soft overlay
  • Machining errors
  • Prototype tooling
  • Stamping dies
  • Medical Products
  • Electronic components
